Can I loudly pray in tongues in the church
Peace in the Lord Jesus Christ
Brethen, the bible is telling us that let all that we do be done with love ( 1 Corinthians 16: 13 )
And the love of God is also the desire to correct with love our brothers and sisters when we think that they are wrong according to the bible.
I love you that is why I always desire to tell you the truth according to the bible.
The habit of praying publicly and loudly in tongues without interpretation in the gathering of saints, I mean in the church (Where two or three they gather in the name of Jesus Christ …) needs to be avoided when it comes to a personal prayer.
There is a difference between praying in tongues and speaking in tongues in the church.
*Praying in tongues is personal, you pray to God, so keep quiet in the church if you cant interpret what you are uttering.
*Speaking in tongues comes with interpretation knowing that God is speaking. If not keep quiet in the church if there is no interpretation.
1 Corinthians 14: 9- 11 and 27- 28 makes it clear. One cant speak in tongues in the church without an interpretation. It means that speaking in tongues in the church comes with a prophetic message to edify the church. That is the main aim of speaking in tongues in the church.
1- You pray more in tongues than speaking in tongues in the church: YES, YES, do it but in your personal prayer.
2- You pray more in tongues during the gathering not even speaking in tongues, praying in tongues, Paul said in 1 Corinthians 14: 18 – 19, he speaks less in tongues in the church and when he does it, he edifies the church.
3- Your praying in tongues in the gathering of saints does not will not edify because it gives no interpretation, it is personal, no one understands what you are saying. Then it becomes a destruction to others.
4- My brothers and sisters, I plead you to read just the whole chapter of 1 Corinthians 14, read it with the desire to understand the order in the church concerning the speaking in tongues.
Pray in tongues anywhere anyhow, any time, but let it be in your personal prayer time in order to maintain order in the gathering of the saints. Alternatively, if you pray in tongues in the church, you better control your voice if you can, do not disturb.
Speak in tongues when led by the spirit of God for the purpose to edify the church not to destruct others. It is not a show off. Praying in tongues in the church has become a destruction and a frustration to others.
I have spoken the word of God according to 1 Corinthians 14.
